“Where will you run when the world is on fire?”

I feel deeply grateful to have presented my concert work “JIWA KALA” at ReaktorHallen — the decommissioned nuclear reactor in Stockholm — alongside the extraordinary collaborator multi-instrumentalist @amcgrawrva and saxophonist Anders Paulsson (@paulssonmusicw), as part of the Strange Attractors Records series. It was a space filled with resonance, encounters, and reflections on the world we are living in today.

JIWA KALA is a musical work and sonic reflection on time, humanity, memory, and our fragile relationship with nature. Rooted in Javanese traditions while embracing contemporary experimentation, the work invites audiences into an immersive journey through sound, voice, ritual, and ecological awareness.

My work has a deep connection to nature, Indonesia’s unique ecology, and biosphere stewardship. That evening, all of these energies came alive through sound, space, and intercultural encounter.

Thank you to everyone who came, supported, and shared this musical journey. Your presence made the evening profoundly meaningful. ❤️
